Clean Laundry Smell With The Laundress

Updated: Aug 8, 2019

I remember growing up watching my mother on laundry day washing and then line drying our bedding and clothing outside on the clothesline. After they were completely dry (and stiff) she would bring them in and fold them. You could not help but smell the freshness from the outdoors. I loved climbing into bed at night to the scent of fresh, clean sheets on my bed. I would often bury my face in the top sheet and just take deep breaths, then fall asleep to the scent of the outdoors.

At this year's Newberg Old Fashion Festival I introduced another great clean and green laundry product. The Laundress - a laundry product that is both nontoxic and biodegradable! I admit I am a lover of fragrances. But once I realized what was in most fragrances (a lot of bad chemicals) I knew I had to make changes in my household cleaning and laundry products, i.e. dryer sheets and scented fabric softeners (Downy) to name a few. I was looking for a way to recapture that fresh line dry smell on my clothes and towels.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that not only does The Laundress laundry products smell AMAZING but they actually work at cleaning your clothes. What I was most surprised about is when I use their "Signature" laundry detergent I do not need to use my dryer ball with essential oils. Their "Signature" detergent has the scent of "clean laundry" and lasts on my clothes through the drying cycle and days later when I put them on.

Ingredient Transparency

The Laundress website is completely transparent when it comes to the ingredients in their products. Their fragrances are derived from essential oils. There are no artificial dyes or unnecessary additives.
