At last a garbage bag you can feel good about purchasing. In my earlier posts, I discussed how much plastic is in our oceans and where it comes from. At least 10 million tons of plastic is continuing to enter our oceans primarily from third world countries. According to Hippo Sak's website approximately 80% of the plastic polluting our oceans starts on land and then washes into the oceans.
Hippo Sak has partnered with OceanBound, a company that collects plastic from the beaches of third world countries before it ever reaches the oceans. What is even more impressive is the "collection of this ocean plastic has resulted in new jobs, allowing impoverished families to have work that provides food, shelter and educational opportunities that were not previously available." Hippo Sak is manufactured in US and made entirely out of this recycled plastic originally found on the beaches.
This bag is very strong, guarantees no leaks or your money back. Hippo Sak has a "patented PowerStrip® reinforced bottom technology, making them 10 TIMES STRONGER than similar bags. And, if you were curious about its color gray - the recycling process creates the bag's gray color so you know it is eco-friendly.
Hippo Sak's goal is to continue to work with their recycled plastic partner to collect and use "...5 million pounds of ocean plastic to make...super strong tall kitchen bags this year!"
Hippo Sak -- "feel good that you are helping turn the tide on ocean pollution & poverty while keeping your kitchen clean."

You can purchase Hippo Sak on Amazon!
