Primal Kitchen - "Eat like your life depends on it..."

Did you realize that it is just as important what you put inside your body as it is what you put on the outside?

Continuing my journey into cleaner living I realize that I must make a conscious decision to only consume cleaner foods. The days of let’s eat what sounds good are over. Our family gatherings no longer focus as much about the food we are going to eat. It is more about choosing whole, quality clean foods that will nourish our bodies, and the quality time we spend together.

Due to my long list of food allergies I have been on a quest for over ten years to find healthier options for the foods I consume on a daily basis. Most of the look-alike foods I have tried that were supposedly designed to replace the food I could no longer eat were utterly disgusting. So I resigned myself to the fact that I would just have to create a menu based on a much small list of allowable foods.

I am limited to consuming only foods that are dairy free, gluten free, canola free, soy free, and free of refined sugar. It is not as easy as you would think. Most of my family also struggles to find foods free of the same ingredients. More recently, my husband was diagnosed with food sensitivities. As a result, he has now reluctantly joined the rest of the family in our quest for cleaner, nourishing, and creative food options.

About four years ago my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Celiac, which started her on a journey for cleaner food items and the launch of her website Grain Free Table. She is continually creating new recipes with new cleaner products she finds. She recently introduced me to a great salad dressing to go with her amazing chopped salad recipe.

I found the perfect dressing for the perfect summer chopped salad. Primal Kitchen offers a full line of amazing delicious condiments, mayo, dressings/marinades, and avocado oils. They have even created a protein bar and collagen protein powder.

All of their salad dressings are made with avocado oil (not canola or soybean oils), apple cider vinegar, and spices.

My new favorite salad dressing is Primal Kitchen Thousand Island – the perfect compliment to a chef salad. The Ranch is pretty amazing too and don't get me started on the Green Goddess! All of their dressings are light and the perfect compliment to an otherwise boring meal.

Remember, “…food can lead you down a path of disease, pain and despair.” So choose today to eat clean with Primal Kitchen.

Primal Kitchen dressings are dairy free, gluten, soy, canola free, with no refined sugar. For more information on where you can purchase Primal Kitchen products and SAVE 10% go here.
